Powered Dry Dolo 20-D Limestone for Sale

Baker’s Dolo 20-D Dry Limestone is pulverized into a powdered limestone. It is designed to be applied with dry boom spreaders for a more consistent application on the field. It is mined directly from our quarry, a rich dolomitic limestone deposit in Pennsylvania. Farmers can depend on Baker Lime’s dolomite lime to neutralize acidic soil in their fields and replenish the crucial nutrients (calcium and magnesium) that are essential for healthy crops. When soil pH is correct, expensive fertilizers and herbicides work harder and more efficiently to increase crop yields. Baker’s lime improves the effectiveness of other natural soil nutrients as well.

Spring and fall are ideal times for liming applications and, with the increasing cost of fertilizers and herbicides, applying Baker’s Dolo 20-D can help to improve results. Baker’s high quality limestone plays an important role in the overall economy of farm production for professional, commercial and custom applicators.

Difference Between Dolomitic And Calcitic Lime

Our Dolo 20-D limestone is composed of dolomitic lime. Calcitic and Dolomitic lime are very similar but have slight differences. Calcitic lime comes from deposits of rock that contain calcium carbonate. Dolomite lime, on the other hand, comes from deposits that contain both calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate. When choosing which limestone to use it is essential to know your soil’s PH level and magnesium level. There is little difference in how each type of limestone will neutralize your soil’s PH level but they will impact the magnesium levels differently. If you are looking for a product that neutralizes soil PH and increases magnesium and calcium levels in your soil, our Ag-Dolomitic limestone is the perfect product for your crops.

Agricultural Uses of Dolo 20-D Lime

As stated above, Dolo 20-D lime is a great product for reducing your soil PH. Over time, the nutrients in soil used for crops becomes depleted and acidic. Our Dolo 20-D lime product helps to bring nutrients back into the soil by neutralizing the PH and adding both calcium and magnesium to the soil. AG- Dolomite Lime is great for quickly spreading across crops, gardens, and fields.
